Staff 1Pastor David Koch (and family): [EMAIL: wbcpastor@gmail.com] I was raised in a Christian home in Lincoln, Nebraska and blessed to learn many Bible Stories from a young age in addition to hearing the gospel message often. At the age of 10, while attending a summer camp, the reality of my sin, its awfulness and penalty, finally came home to me. I came under great conviction and received Jesus as my Lord and Savior, asking Him to forgive my sins and grant me eternal life based on His death and resurrection on my behalf.

One major influence on my Christian walk came through a Bible Quizzing team that I participated on from 7th-10th grade. During this time I memorized entire books of the Bible for competition and the resulting foundation has born much fruit. During my junior year in high school, my family began to attend Indian Hills Community Church in Lincoln. This was the first time I was exposed to verse by verse teaching of God's Word. My love for God, the Bible and growth in Christ increased substantially and I became heavily involved in the youth group. Meeting Donna in my senior year was a blessing from God I will always be thankful for. It was quickly apparent that she was committed to serving the Lord and growing in His Word. We married in 1987 and our marriage has grown sweeter and sweeter during the past 24 years. God has blessed us with 4 children a lovely daughter-in-law and one grandchild.

As a result of God drawing me into the ministry, I was privileged to attend and graduate from the Master's Seminary in May of 2001. This seminary was begun under the leadership of John MacArthur and has an incredible group of godly expositors as professors. Prior to seminary I was on staff at Indian Hills Community Church for 8 years. I've been a head pastor for the past 8 years, the past 5 here in Raleigh at Wentworth. One of my greatest desires is to "Shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood" (Acts 20:28) and to be found faithful!
